HPV vaccine to be given to boys starting this month

The start of the new school year comes with the announcement that boys aged 12 and 13 will for the first time, be offered an HPV vaccination. The jab, which has until now just been given to girls, and aims to prevent the spread of the virus, which can lead to certain cancers. Several charities have now urged parents to consider taking up the offer for their children.
